LOGOS

CLIENT:::STORY

Some of these black and white logos I actually did by hand with a 0.05 rapidograph pen by hand and then I brought into illustrator to clean up. I also want to mention the oval shaped “M” logo was for a friend of mine that Deejays.

CLIENT:::STORY

Color logos are great. The only problem is sometimes clients don’t know to tell the designers to produce them in Illustrator (vector Art) so they can recreate them at any size and they won’t cause distortion. My case in point was the Hwarangdo logo. Client had the logo produced in Adobe Photoshop. I then had to recreate it in Adobe Illustrator so they could use it and there would be no distortions if used in video or print.

CHINA RECORDS:::STORY

I created both of these pieces for a client that had a Chinese catalog of music. The Nature High cover (LEFT) I created using a 3d program called Carrara and of course Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. I had create layers of type then extrude in Carrara and use some bevels to give it a nice plastic look.

On the Shanghai Restoration Project I didn’t have a lot to work with. I just had the title of the album and a few jpegs of the artist. So after hearing the album. I decided to go with using the city of Shanghai with a few distortions and using a neutral color and some circular designs to make it look cool. And here is the final product.

By the way, I would like to mention that both of these albums as well as the next two are available on itunes, and amazon.com and I am sure on other mp3 distribution channels.

CLIENT:::STORY

These two covers are also available on Itunes and Amazon.com. Hash – Latinz Finest cover was created with again few photos of the artist only so I did what I could with what I had. I think this a reoccurring thing in my artwork. I get very little elements and make the most of them.

ZEN LOUNGE(RIGHT) I hand drew in Corel Painter and did the title in Adobe Illustrator and composited all the elements in Adobe Photoshop. The image I reference was a old water color and calligraphy painted scroll that one of the executives had purchased from china.

CINEVISION INERNATIONAL:::STORY

As with most of the artwork I created. Most was built from scratch. The Golden Sky art was an experiment after seeing some of Dylan Cole (Matte Painter) art. The elements I didn’t like when creating this was the bear. After understanding that style I got a better idea of how key art is made.

The Deadtime Stories cover is the same notion, taking a mixture of online images and making them my own by various photoshop manipulations.

CINEVISION INTERNATIONAL:::STORY

People usually judge a book by its cover when looking at this piece. It’s a Lifestyle DVD magazine that features custom cars. I only had the car images to work with. The title treatment I created completely in Adobe Illustrator. The model and other elements were composited in Adobe Photoshop.

SUN QUEST REAL ESTATE:::STORY

Don’t really have too much to say about this project. I just the client wanted the landing page imagery to be driven by high images and the images had to be animated and split into parts.

TEAM YATES REAL ESTATE:::STORY

We had to make sure the main slide show was big and we had to create a seal or emblem that best represented the company (emblem in the top left of the slide show) there was a little bit of back and forth with this one , but with my team we were able to work it out.

THE MILLER GORDON TEAM:::STORY

I had to put in time with this one. I had to basically explain the process of how the world of web design works and how to have a good client/project manager relationship with this client. I had to do that to because the client had no clue about graphics, web, etc. So, I patiently took the time to help them understand and finally got this out of this….its amazing as an artist when you just believe in other people’s abilities what you can get out of them…

PICVIBE.COM:::STORY

This was a pet social networking project me and my brother created. For this project I was primarily in charge of the interface design and usability. I also managed the developers and came up the interactivity.We lacked the resources at the time to push it where it needed to be. However, I do still believe the project still has potential.

This one was interesting. Not only did we have to use flash we had to do some tricky java scripting to make the mini picture menu below the flash slideshow.

PETER AND PAM ANDERSON REALTY:::STORY

This client was fun. I guess living in Hawaii had some to do with it and he wrote instruction manuals for pilots in the military during Nam (NAMMM…in raspy movie preview voice) I was the project manager for this website and I was communicating what he wanted and adding some of my creativity to it with my team that our company outsourced to in Manila (Philippines)

CLIENT:::STORY

This one is kinda personal…part of a series of pieces I am creating. Someone inspired me to do this piece and after completing it I realized how complicated life is and some trivial things separate us for one another…
